community. After immediate physical needs are met, it is important for
those affected by a trauma to attend to needs that may be more difficult to
define. For some, upsetting recollections of the disaster may be making it
difficult to concentrate. Others may be experiencing overwhelming anxiety
or disturbing nightmares. Some people have difficulty feeling anything but
numb. Perhaps financial strain is causing you to wonder if you will ever
be able to get your budget back on track.
