YES,
YOU CAN LET YOUR BARN TIMBERS LAST MORE GENERATIONS, LET US USE THEM IN OTHER
BUILDINGS!
Do you have timbers available for recycling into historic
barn renovation projects?
Centreville Settlement, Inc., is a non-profit tax deductible
organization dedicated since 1982 to the preservation of rural heritage in
Manitowoc County. Current
pursuits include renovation of an 1849 Housebarn that is timber framed in the
Saxon German style. The groups
members frequently consult and assist on barn and outbuilding repairs and
restoration.
Your contribution will be recognized at the sites your
timbers help save, and in the groups newsletter. Help make history continue to live.
We have an immediate need for the following size hand hewn
timbers: 6 x 5, 6 x 6,
6 x 7, 6 x 8,
6 x 10 all in lengths
from 3 on up, as well as larger cross section hand hewn timbers up to
14x14 in any lengths in good structural condition.
With an appointment you are welcome to deliver to the Lutze
Housebarn at 13630 S. Union Road in Town Centerville, or we can provide wagons
or trucks at your site.
Please contact Christopher Kuehnel, Renovation Director at
920-693-3141 for scheduling.
Thanks for helping with your support!
