Press Release - Disposal May 16

Home ] Up ]

To: All people concerned about refuse disposal

From: Manitowoc County Emergency Management, St. Nazianz Command Post, John Sponholtz

Subject: Refuse disposal

Date: May 16, 2000

Contact was made with the Department of Natural Resources regarding the possibility of burning or burying the refuse from the storm damage.  We definitely can not burn or bury any refuse, all refuse must be containerized and hauled away to a certified disposal site.  Because we have two such sites so nearby this is the only way to dispose of our refuse.
