June 24 "Join Hands Day" Tree planting and free pig roast sponsored by Lutheran Brotherhood. Property owners please provide tree request provided, still looking for volunteers to assist with planting and pig roast to follow. As part of the Hailstorm 2000 Project, the Critical Incident Team of Manitowoc County Human Services (MCHS) will be holding several informational meetings for various groups in the area. Information will include sources of assistance, what is happening in the particular town, time to ask questions, time to meet with neighbors. June 8 Temporary SBA disaster loan assistance office will open on Thursday, June 8th at the St. Nazianz Fire Department, 202 North 4th Avenue in St. Nazianz. Help will be available Thursday, June 8 and Friday, June 9 from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday June 10 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. There after, help will be available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., until further notice. June 7 for parents in Valders area who want to get information and/or discuss what to say and do with children who are affected by a disaster. 7:00 PM Valders Community Center, Valders Memorial Park. Sponsored by MCHS.
June 2 An Evening of Thanksgiving and Reflection will be held for everyone affected by the May 12, 2000 storm. It will be held at Camp Sinawa on Friday, June 2, 2000 at 7:00 PM. There will be some kind words from local officials, songs, snacks and refreshments. For additional info contact Kay at Village of St. Nazianz.
